Hebron Academy's College Counseling Handbook (mailed to parents of seniors and juniors and available upon request from the College Counseling Office) familiarizes students and their families with the particulars of the admissions process. It includes:
- Developing a College List
- Checklist on Choosing a College
- The Campus Visit
- The Interview
- Processing College Applications
- Information for International Students
- Testing for College Admissions
- Writing College Application Essays
- Financial Aid
- NCCA Clearinghouse Information
These workshops are offered each year for parents and students. They provide an introduction to admissions and financial aid procedures and enable families to get a sense of this process as a whole.
Individual Consultations
In addition to the several workshops and group meetings they provide, college counselors are available to meet with students one-on-one, assist in developing a college search plan, answer questions, and provide feedback on college essays applications.
