Hebron Academy's community life team, along with residential faculty, plan activities for students throughout the year, including special events, sports tournaments, activities in the dorm, and a full slate of choices for the weekends. Students are encouraged to suggest activities as well, keeping each year's activities fresh and interesting. These activities are in addition to the student plays and concerts, student organization activities, and interscholastic competitions.
Special activities include:
- Art Festival Week with one act plays, concerts, art shows, community art projects
- Halloween celebration with haunted house, pumpkin carving, party
- Winter Carnival with dress-up days, three-on-three basketball tournament, broomball tournament, snow competitions, Casino Night
- Concerts on campus
- Cultural events off campus (Portland Symphony, Portland Stage Company, Bates College lectures and concerts)
- Trips to fairs
- Hebron night at the Maineacs (local junior hockey team)
- Professional hypnotist
- Spa night (girls' dorm)
- Poker/video game competition (boys' dorm)
- Slip-n-slide in the Bowl
- Cookouts
- Dances
- Junior and senior Prom
Regular weekend activities include:
- Shopping (L.L. Bean, Maine Mall, Auburn Mall, Portland’s Old Port, North Conway outlets).
- Outing Club trips (hiking, canoeing, skiing, climbing, camping)
- Sporting events (Portland Sea Dogs, Portland Pirates, Boston Red Sox, local collegiate events)
- Skiing
- Movies (theaters in nearby Auburn and Oxford)
- Community skating
- Various outings (bowling, mini golf, etc.)
- Big screen movie nights on campus
- Intramural competitions (wiffle ball, dodge ball, Frisbee golf)
