The middle school years are traditionally a time when students begin to develop a strong sense of self. At Hebron Academy, we believe that it is critical to have caring, approachable adults in constant contact with students.
The Middle School Advisory Program places each student in a small group with a Middle School teacher. Advisors serve as mentors. They can be sounding boards, guides, and thoughtful listeners, all the while helping each student develop and problem solve. Some advisors bake treats, some offer a shoulder to cry on, and others attend every sporting event.
Hebron strives for excellent communication between students, families, and the assigned advisor. There are weekly meeting times built into the schedule to ensure that each advisory group has the opportunity to get together frequently. During the course of each trimester, advisors also meet with students individually.
