Rich and varied by design, the Middle School curriculum embraces traditional subject areas and seeks to make connections among disciplines. It is as much concerned with the skills of learning as with the content of subjects. Goals of the Middle School program are to:
  • Instill in students a love of learning;
  • Help students become independent and resourceful learners;
  • Reinforce and develop effective habits of study; and
  • Encourage students to become increasingly self-reliant.

Advisory Program

T
he Middle School advisory program places each student in a small group with a Middle School teacher. Advisors serve as mentors, sounding boards, guides and thoughtful listeners, helping each student to solve problems and grow intellectually and emotionally.

Hebron strives for excellent communication between students, families, and the assigned advisor. Weekly meeting times are built into the schedule to ensure that each advisory group has the opportunity to get together frequently. During the course of each trimester, advisors also meet with students individually.
