The Hebron Academy Advisory Program is designed to support Hebron's mission of inspiring and guiding students to their highest potential in mind, body, and spirit by helping students accept personal responsibility for their actions and their roles in the school community.
Each student at Hebron Academy is assigned an advisor who serves as the point person for the student’s academic, social, and behavioral growth. An advisor is a listener, an advocate, a mentor, an academic coach, a role model, and a personal coach. They cheer for their advisees at performances and athletic contests. They help students develop conflict resolution, leadership, and decision making skills. They are also an important communication link between parents and the school.
Each advisory group has a maximum of seven students. Advisors sit with their groups each day at morning meetings, meet weekly, and get together regularly. Groups are also involved in community service projects throughout the year, both on- and off-campus.
