The work and dedication of Hebron Academy's volunteers is integral to the school's strength and future.
Why volunteer? As a volunteer contributing time, talent, and energy, you will have a profound impact on Hebron Academy. You will support students, staff, and faculty in numerous programs across school life--spreading Hebron spirit at local events, recruiting students, and helping raise funds for Academy priorities.
Ways to get involved. Below is a list with several formal volunteer opportunities. Please call the Advancement and External Relations office at (207) 966-2100 ext. 284 for more information.
- Leadership Gifts Committee (contact: Pat Layman, Director of the Hebron Annual Fund). The Leadership Gifts Committee is comprised of alumni who give and secure comparable contributions from three to nine other individuals. Committee members will also participate in stewarding current leadership donors who make leadership annual gifts to Hebron.
- Parents Fund Committee (contact: Pat Layman, Director of the Hebron Annual Fund). Members of the Hebron Academy Parents Fund Committee will focus on giving and soliciting annual gifts of $1,000 or more from individuals who have the capability to do so. The Committee will include leaders from the parent body who agree to make Charter Club level gifts or higher and secure comparable contributions from three to nine other parents.
- Reunion Gift Committee(s) (contact: Pat Layman, Director of the Hebron Annual Fund ). Members will make leadership level gifts and secure comparable contributions from three to nine other individuals.
- Admissions Representatives (contact: Joe Hemmings, Director of Admissions). The Admissions Representative Committee is comprised of alumni and parents who assist in the admissions process for Hebron Academy.
- Outreach (contact: Beth Garza, Director of Alumni & Parent Relations). Assist in the establishment and support of regional activities focused on gathering and networking Hebron alumni, parents and friends.
- Reunion Planning Committee(s) (contact: Beth Garza, Director of Alumni & Parent Relations). Participate in the planning of specific class reunion celebrations.
- Hebron European Council (contact: Bev Leyden, International Relations Coordinator). Assist in the establishment and support of activities focused on gathering and networking Hebron’s international alumni, parents and friends.
- Advisory Council (contact: Beth Garza, Director of Research). The Advisory Council supports the school’s mission of inspiring and guiding students to reach their highest potential in mind, body and spirit. Members are expected to act as ambassadors for the Academy and engage their connections with alumni, parents and friends to help Hebron Academy reach a wider audience. Members are expected to attend annual meetings and experience Hebron Academy, to take away an understanding of Hebron’s unique vision and priorities, and to advise the trustees and administration on important strategic issues.
