The Campus Master Plan is a direct outcome of Hebron Academy's strategic plan, "Foundation for the Future." It identifies new and renovated spaces that will enhance Hebron programs and accommodate more students.
The designers focused on understanding Hebron's social fabric, including a strong sense of community, appreciation of our natural surroundings, and maximum student-faculty interaction. As such, the Campus Master Plan addresses the school's needs with designs that preserve the special character of the campus and encourage personal interaction.
The Plan includes renovations or new construction for science labs, classrooms, an arts center, an athletics center and a student union. (Click on the buttons at right to see drawings.)
In September of 2005, Hebron Academy's Board of Trustees formally committed to a $25 million fundraising campaign to complete the Campus Master Plan. The fundraising goal for the first project, the Athletics Center, is $14 million. As of January 2006, alumni, trustees, and friends committed more than five million dollars in resources, building momentum towards the first major construction project.
During Homecoming weekend 2005, the school announced that the planned Arts Center will be named in honor of Hebron graduate and long-time benefactor Albert R. Lepage '65, Deacon William Barrows Distinguished Trustee Emeritus, in recognition of Mr. Lepage's commitment to the future of arts education at the school.
