Welcome to Hebron Academy. What I want to tell you about Hebron is best experienced in person. So, by the time you are done reading this, I hope that you will seriously consider a visit to Hebron, whether for the first time or for a return trip "home."

Psychologist Carl Jung said, "One looks back with appreciation to the brilliant teachers, but with gratitude to those who touched our human feelings. The curriculum is so much necessary raw material, but warmth is the vital element for the growing plant and for the soul of the child."

His words speak to our character, to our faculty and coaches' genuine interest in seeing our students grow. Hebron Academy's passionate, gifted teachers provide an academically challenging environment, but they are also enormously supportive and accessible. On the fields, in the dorms, in the library, on stage, in the dining hall - everywhere you find the interactions between students and faculty that we value so highly.

Personally, one of my favorite events at Hebron is our all-school musical. Everyone on campus is invited to participate. Each year, alongside a number of extremely talented, dedicated singers and thespians, there are young people courageously stepping on to the stage for the first time. Faculty members participate, as do students from every grade level. The audience cheers enthusiastically for each performer.

Hebron Academy is known for its friendly, supportive environment that encourages young people to reach their potential. Here, teachers encourage students to reach for something more than they thought possible, students are comfortable trying new things and seeking help and guidance from their teachers, everyone is encouraged to be actively involved in the school community, and each person can and does make a difference.

My wife Marcia and I invite you to visit Hebron Academy and experience our community for yourself. We look forward to seeing you.

Sincerely,
John J. King
