This Week in Hams 09/26-09/30

This Week in Hams 09/26-09/30

We have completed our fourth week of classes! Students are settling into their routines and getting to where they need to be on time. Students are being encouraged to work on their time management and organizational skills throughout the day by getting to where they need to be on time and being prepared for each class. They should be using class time and study hall time wisely to complete assignments and stay on top of their obligations.

Schedule questions:

It is our hope that Middle School students are now familiar with navigating myhebron and accessing their schedules, class pages and assignments. If any students or parents still have questions about their class schedules or accessing myhebron, please reach out to Mr. Brouwer. Students should also be checking their Hebron Academy email a least a couple times each day for any announcements that may pertain to them.

Absences

Any student absences should be communicated to attendance@hebronacademy.org

Thank you for helping us keep track of our students!

Carpool information

We have had parents ask about the potential for carpooling to and from school with other families. Any families interested in carpooling and willing to share their contact information are welcome to fill out the carpool information spreadsheet

HAMS Soccer

HAMS soccer is in full swing and we are excited to have a full squad this year. Practice is every afternoon at 4pm and players should have cleats, shin guards and a water bottle each day. The HAMS soccer page on Hebron’s website may be accessed here.

We had our first game of the season on Wednesday, 9/28 vs. Lewiston Middle School. This was the first HAMS soccer game in three years and the team came ready to play. The entire team played a solid match which led to a 6 to 1 victory. Bayden Cry-Guzowski lead the scoring for the Lumberjacks netting four goals and registering 2 assists. Sawyer Shanaman scored off a beautiful assist from Bayden and Corbin Poussard scored the final goal with a strong shot to the upper right corner of the net. Hebron’s midfield of Bayden and Isaac Sullivan controlled the game. Riley Phillips, Oscar Diffin and Bradley Powers were solid all game on defense and Nolan Heath had a tremendous game in net. Congratulations Lumberjacks on solid first win of the season!

Our next game is Tuesday, October 4th, against Bonny Eagle Middle School in Buxton at 3:30pm.
