Two-Winners in the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards

Two-Winners in the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards

The Scholastic Art and Writing Awards are the most prestigious nationwide contest for writers and artists in grades 7 through 12. The competition is stiff, but this year two Hebron students won these national writing awards. Louisa Strong ’26 won Honorable Mention in Poetry for her poem “Range of Imagination,” while Nola Goodwin ’23, the editor of the student-run Hebron Review, won three prizes: an Honorable Mention for her academic essay titled “Lackluster Morality”; a Silver Key for her personal narrative, “Bridge the Gap”; and a Gold Key, the highest prize, for another academic essay, “Shades of Gray.” Congratulations to these two Lumberjacks for being honored as among the best young writers in the United States!
