Jack O’Brien has been appointed to the Head Varsity Boys Hockey position at Hebron Academy for the 2019-2020 season. “It is exciting to begin this new chapter of Hebron hockey and to work to help raise our hockey program to the highest level possible.” The history and legacy built from generations of proud hockey players who have skated for the Lumberjacks is something not many programs in the region can match. Building on this tradition, Coach O'Brien strives to push his players towards excellence through hard work and respect; honoring those who have proudly worn the Lumberjack jersey.
Coach Jack O'Brien joined the Hebron Academy Boys Varsity Hockey Coaching staff in the summer of 2017. In addition to coaching Boys Varsity Hockey, he is the Assistant Director of Admission and he is actively involved in the campus life and community of Hebron Academy.  Before coming to Hebron, Coach O'Brien worked as an Information Technology Representative in the Boston area while coaching the Boston Junior Terriers, Baystate Breakers, and Weymouth High School. A native of Braintree, Massachusetts, and graduate of Boston College High School, Jack went on to play two seasons of Junior hockey before accepting an opportunity to play Division I college hockey in the ECAC for St. Lawrence University. While at St. Lawrence he was a member of the 2000 and 2001 ECAC Championship teams, also playing in the NCAA Division I Frozen Four in 2000. He currently resides on campus with his wife Danielle and son Jackson.
