Hebron Academy will be transitioning to the New England Prep School 8-man football league for the Fall 2019 season. In making this move, Hebron will join a contingent of fellow Evergreen Football League competitors including Holderness, Hyde, Kents Hill, and Pomfret. The current 8-man league consists of 10 New England prep schools with several other schools looking to make the move in 2020.
The Lumberjacks look forward to this variation of the game, one that features an exciting and wide-open style of football. "We are excited to be introducing the 8-man football program at Hebron. The openness of the game and the emphasis on agility, quickness, and speed makes 8-man football a great option for our multi-sport athletes, and we look forward to drawing new players to the game," says Athletic Director, Leslie Guenther. Coach Tom Radulski, will continue to lead the squad with a core of returning players, and with the addition of others new to the team who are drawn to this different style of play.
