Hebron Academy Hosts NEPSTA Division IV Cross Country Championship

Hebron Academy welcomed 32 schools and approximately 400 student athletes on Saturday, November 9th for the NEPSTA (New England Prep School Track Association) Division IV Cross Country Championship. Running conditions were ideal with sunny and cool weather. The race started and finished from the Dwyer Fields, with the surrounding hill providing a natural amphitheater for spectators. The Hebron trails are notoriously hilly and provided a challenging course.

Runners competed in three waves of races: Girls’ Junior Varsity (JV) and Varsity, Boys’ Varsity and Boys’ Junior Varsity (JV).

The Girls’ Varsity winner was Sydney Masciarelli of Marianapolis in a course record-setting time of 18:49. The Girls’ JV winner was Rachel Griffin of Dexter Southfield in a time of 26:22. The Boys’ Varsity winner was Ethan Puc of Chase Collegiate in a time 17:13. Boys’ JV winner was Tyler Reif of Brimmer and May in a time of 21:31.
