We are pleased to announce the appointment of Jennifer Craig as the next Head of School at Hebron Academy as of July 1, 2026.  Jen comes to us from Mercersburg Academy, where she is the Associate Head of School.  She and her husband Ken will be moving into Allen House over the summer.  Jen and Ken both started their teaching careers at Hebron in 1992, making this appointment both forward-facing and a meaningful homecoming. 

This appointment follows a comprehensive national search which made clear that Jen is the right leader to guide Hebron into its next chapter.  She brings deep experience in independent school leadership, a strong commitment to student-centered education and a clear appreciation for the distinctive mission and culture of Hebron as a boarding and day school.  Throughout the search process, Jen demonstrated strategic clarity, thoughtful leadership, and a values-driven approach that resonated strongly with the Hebron Community.

The Board extends its sincere gratitude to the Head of School Search Committee, comprised of trustees, faculty, parents, and alumni for their extraordinary commitment of time, care, and judgment throughout the process.  Additionally, we thank all the faculty/staff, parents, students and alumni who participated in the finalist interviews, either in person or on Zoom.  Your contribution was most valuable.
