Hebron Academy Welcomes Courtney Carnes as Girls Varsity Hockey Coach

Hebron Academy is pleased to welcome Courtney Carnes as the Girls Varsity Hockey Coach for the 2025–2026 academic year.

A native of Winslow, Maine, Courtney is excited to return to her home state, bringing a wealth of experience in player development, program leadership, and creating opportunities for female hockey players. Known for her passion, energy, and commitment to growing the game, she joins Hebron after several successful seasons in Northern Virginia, where she led the Potomac Lady Patriots.

A Level 4 USA Hockey-certified coach, Courtney has contributed extensively to USA Hockey’s National and District Player Development Camps as a coach, evaluator, on-ice lead, and mentor. She completed USA Hockey’s Bronze Goaltending course in the 2024-25 season.

As a former NCAA Division III player at Buffalo State University and a member of the Buffalo Beauts during the inaugural season of the NWHL, Courtney brings valuable firsthand experience as a high-level athlete. Her coaching philosophy centers around developing the whole player — on and off the ice — and she looks forward to bringing that vision and passion to Hebron Academy.
