History Teaching Faculty

Hebron Academy is seeking a dynamic, flexible, and forward-thinking faculty member to join our history department for the 2022-23 school year. The ideal candidate would be comfortable teaching any grade level. Our faculty participate fully in the life of the school -- as teacher, coach, dorm parent, mentor, and advisor. 

We are looking for an individual who will:

  • facilitate student-driven inquiry experiences with an emphasis on 21st-century skills.

  • demonstrate and cultivate cultural competency and equity in the classroom and community 

  • bring a passion for history, teaching history, and teaching young people. 

  • model lifelong learning by continually working to provide the most current research and resources to enliven the classroom experience

  • encourage students to think historically, critically examine information, and take historical perspectives

  • celebrate diversity and model democracy

  • be committed to nurturing the whole child by caring for the emotional and social needs of each student.

  • provide a supportive and rigorous college preparatory learning environment.

  • employ strong communication skills in all aspects of the position

  • be a motivated self-starter.
