  • Selection & Enrollment

    • Students must be eligible for 8-12 in the fall of 2019 for ELSI.
    • Students must have a high level of maturity, responsibility, and self-discipline.
    • ELSI welcomes applicants from all countries, languages, religions, race, ethnicity, and sexual orientation.
    • ELSI enrollment is on a space-available basis. Applications will be processed in the order received. Applications and all supporting documents must be received by specified deadlines.
    • Participants will receive confirmation of acceptance.
  • Tuition & Financial Consideration

    Tuition for the 2-week program is $5,500 USD.

    A $500 nonrefundable deposit with the application is required by June 1. Full payment is due July 1.

    Tuition includes:

    • health and emergency insurance during ELSI.
    • all housing and meals.
    • all fees and transportation costs for off-campus excursions.
    • all program materials and wireless access.
    • ELSI participants will need extra money for meals on arrival and departure days and personal shopping. 
    • Weekly shopping trips are scheduled for personal needs or to purchase items not packed.
    • Families are responsible for arrival and departure transportation costs.
  • Boston

    ELSI will provide a one night trip to Boston at the conclusion of the program.

    The fee includes transportation, one night at a hotel near the Freedom Trail, museums, live theater such as the Blue Man Group. Personal money will be needed only for shopping and dining out.

Enrollment Checklist

  1. Complete enrollment form and deposit submitted by June 1
  2. Confirmation of acceptance received.
  3. Visa and travel documents secured.
  4. Tuition balance submitted by July 1
  5. Travel arrangements made, including both arrival and departure.
  6. Travel itinerary submitted by July 21.
  7. Arrival in Maine on August 21 / Departure on September 4.
