Being a Lumberjack
At Hebron the pursuit of academic excellence finds its corollary in the pursuit of athletic excellence, and participation in organized sports forms an integral part of every student’s Hebron experience.
With are campus now open and our first home games on campus starting on September 21, we wanted to send over the protocols that we will be implementing. Please read the following guidelines, and if you have any questions please reach out to either Athletic Director, Caddy Brooks or Health Service Director, Deb Traub.
Vaccination and Testing: Hebron students and coaches participating in interscholastic competition are fully vaccinated. Our expectation for our opponents is that students and coaches are either fully vaccinated OR take a binaxNOW test the day of the competition and share those results with us. We ask that any positive results be fully contact traced before our teams compete. Of course, if test results of unvaccinated students and coaches are negative, we will compete. Additionally, regardless of vaccination status, we ask everyone to do a symptom check prior to competitions with Hebron Academy.
Spectators: Spectators are welcome on campus, but we ask that they congregate in dedicated fan zones. We have clear signs throughout the playing fields, directing spectators to appropriate, sectioned off viewing areas. Other than using the restrooms located in the hockey rink, please remain in the designated fan zones and do not wander campus. Similarly, Please refrain from contact with any Hebron Academy student. It is also expected that spectators perform a symptom check before arriving on campus. We kindly ask anyone experiencing COVID symptoms to refrain from coming to campus.
Restrooms: Hebron asks visiting teams and spectators to use bathrooms in The Robinson Arena (our ice hockey rink), which is located near our athletic fields. Signage is posted throughout the campus to direct teams and spectators to our restrooms. Please do not enter any other building on campus.
Locker Rooms: We will not provide locker rooms for visiting teams, so please come dressed and ready to play for games.
Parking: Please park any school and spectator transportation in The Williams Center parking lot. We have a small parking area beyond the turf field, but ask spectators not to park there as that is for emergency vehicle access.
