It's hard to believe but with spring break starting March 12th we only have three weeks left of winter sports. While this winter athletic season looks much different than any in our lifetime, there is still a lot to celebrate.

Owen Spring '22 has officially committed to St. Bonaventure University and will play lacrosse for them. St. Bonaventure is a Division I school in upstate New York.
Hebron Academy is excited to announce that Mr. Caddy Brooks has been named the new Athletic Director. Ms. Leslie "Mitzi" Guenther, while retiring at the end of this year, is excited to mentor Mr. Brooks as he transitions to his new role. Brooks joined Hebron Academy in the 2019-2020 year as a coach, faculty member, and dormitory advisor.
We are excited to celebrate our college-bound student-athletes! Tuesday, May 12th was Hebron's celebratory signing day.
Congratulations to Forest Pelletier '23 on competing in a virtual NEPSAC track meet! Over ninety student-athletes participated in the meet in a variety of events. Forest competed in both the 100m and the 400m races.
We had planned to hold our winter athletic awards when we returned to campus in late March, but quite a lot changed in a very short time! We thank you for your patience as we have had to adapt and adjust our ceremony. We are pleased to present the Winter Athletic Awards!
Mr. Eric Lundblade, history faculty and cross country coach, had been training to run a marathon this month in which he was hoping to set a personal record (PR). In light of current coronavirus pandemic circumstances, the marathon was canceled and his plans were squashed. However, he decided he would continue his training regardless.
For the past two Saturdays, a small group of Hebron community members has gathered to do socially distanced trail work on the Hebron campus. They have cleared and reopened over two miles of single track for mountain biking.
The Independent Schools Association of Northern New England (ISANNE) has announced three e-sport competitions for the spring term: campus creation, a virtual talent show, and a Lego masters competition.

Former Hebron, Lehigh and MLL (Major League Lacrosse) players, Roman and Cameron Lao-Gosney '07, are pursuing careers in the film industry. The brothers worked together on a series featuring Tom Schrieber and on the Wolf Athletics commercial shown during PLL games. The opportunity was just the latest chapter in the Lao-Gosneys’ interest in film, which goes back a number of years.
