The Girls Varsity Soccer team fought a tough battle against Gould during the Homecoming game on Saturday, September 30. The Lumberjacks struggled to possess the ball throughout the first half but came back in the second half firing a series of shots at Gould's net, scoring a goal and securing a penalty shot. Both Haliegh Holmes '24 and Jae Williams '26 held tight and saved shots from going into the net. It was a tough loss, but the team played well and worked hard until the final whistle blew. The final score was 5-2 in favor of the Huskies.

With winter sports officially over and all-NEPSAC, all-MAISAD, and Hebron team awards in, we want to recognize the outstanding accomplishments of our Hebron student athletes. We took part in 63 interscholastic competitions spanning over the course of 4 months. We came up victorious in some of those and took our losses in others. The grit, determination, and effort demonstrated this winter is commendable, and we are proud of the work each and every one of our student athletes put into their seasons.
The Alpine ski team recently wrapped up their 2022-23 season with a strong performance in the Maine Association of Independent School Athletic Directors (MAISAD) championships held at Pleasant Mountain on February 22, 2023.
At the first morning meeting of the spring semester, many Lumberjacks were recognized for their accomplishments during fall after-school activities and athletics. The awards ceremony honored individuals in after-school activities for their dedicated efforts, leadership, and improvements to their after-school commitments. Although the awards are presented to individual students, a little bit of every Hebron community member goes into these achievements.

We are getting really exited for students to be back on campus and for fall sports to be in full swing. With that being said, we would like to start getting an idea of what sport/activity you will be interested in doing this winter. If you could fill this form out by 09/01 that would be great.
Please see the fall after-school activities packing list and come to campus with these items to ensure you are ready to participate in your sport or activity. If you do not bring the items necessary to participate in an activity, you will miss valuable time at the start of the year as you wait for those items to get shipped to campus. Make sure you come prepared and ready to contribute to the sport or activity of your choosing!

Despite today’s winter weather, the seasons are steadily changing and the outside temperature will continue to climb. While the Hebron community has made the most of the snowfall in our area this trimester, we are excited to step back onto our athletic fields in the coming weeks and play the first full spring season since the 2018-19 academic year.
