The tradition of football at Hebron Academy dates back to the late 1890’s and carries on to this day. The football team plays an 8-game regular season schedule that includes annual “rivalry games” against fellow Maine schools Kents Hill and Hyde School, in addition to matching up against other prep programs across New England. The football team has a summer conditioning program designed by the Central Maine Conditioning Clinic, and they work with a CMCC trainer in the weight room two days each week during the fall.
In Fall 2019 Hebron will make the move to 8-man football and we are excited by the opportunity this will present to a broader range of students at our school.

Coach Vining enters his 3rd year as the head football coach of the Lumberjacks. Coach Vining has over 12 years of coaching experience in private schools. He was a former football player at Sacred Heart University where he played offense and defensive line. The program's philosophy on both sides of the ball makes it fun and exciting no matter the skill level. He looks forward to helping players develop as a team and helping with any future college aspirations.
