Mr. Paul Brouwer grew up in upstate New York but has called Maine home since the mid 1990s. After graduating with a Bachelor of Music degree from State University College in Potsdam's Crane School of Music, Mr. Brouwer worked as a professional musician in the Boston area for many years. Upon moving to Maine, Mr. Brouwer began teaching in the Turner school district. He joined the Hebron community in the fall of 1998, teaching math, music and outdoor skills. In 2002, Mr. Brouwer became the Director of Trailblazers, Hebron's outdoor skills program, and in 2006 was named Hebron's Middle School Director.
Mr. Brouwer lives on campus in Gilman House with his two daughters Sarah '15 and Rachel '18 and his wife Sara, a photography teacher at Hebron and photography business owner. He enjoys the sense of community that living on campus provides, and he actively pursues Maine's many outdoor offerings year-round.
