Hockey Boys Varsity
The Hebron boys hockey program dates back to the early 1900s and enjoys a rich hockey tradition. We compete against some of the top competitors in the New England Prep School Athletic Conference with a 30 game regular season schedule. The coaching staff, which brings years of playing and coaching experience, focuses on individual improvement, team accomplishment, and college placement for our student athletes. These goals are achieved by a group of student athletes who strive to compete at their highest level each day and commit to being a selfless part of the team and the larger Hebron community.
Passionate hockey players from all types of backgrounds come together to enrich our style of play, each striving to meet the demands of being a competitive student athlete. We are privileged to skate in Robinson Arena on campus, with its renovated interior and new locker room facility. We also have the opportunity to work with strength and conditioning coaches that guide off ice workouts. In recent years, our alumni have gone on to compete at the NCAA Division I, II, and III levels.
Coach Jack O'Brien comes to Hebron Academy with a strong knowledge of the game. He grew up on the South Shore of Massachusetts playing minor hockey throughout New England and beyond. He was a member of 2 ECAC Championship teams and part of the 2000 NCAA Frozen Four team. At the helm of those team was legendary NCAA hockey coach, Joe Marsh. Jack learned integral playing and coaching skills during his time under Marsh. After graduation, he spend some time playing professionally in the ECHL in Arkansas.
