Lacrosse Boys Varsity
The Hebron Academy boys' varsity lacrosse program seeks to provide student-athletes with a structure for individual skill development, team-centered concepts and assistance with the college placement process. Hebron Academy has a solid track record of player advancement to all levels of college lacrosse.
The Lumberjacks play a highly competitive schedule, with a mix of MAISAD (Maine) and Lakes Region (New Hampshire) NEPSAC opponents. The team has won the MAISAD championship five times in the last six years. In addition, they have been selected in six of the last ten years to participate in the McCoy Cup, an end-of- season tournament for New England small school lacrosse programs, winning the tournament in 2014.
Coach Brooks brings a wealth of lacrosse knowledge to Hebron Academy. He comes to us after serving as Offensive Coordinator at Groton School. Under his guidance, the team enjoyed a successful season, posting one of their best records this decade. Prior to Groton, Coach Brooks served as an assistant at Cardinal Newman School in West Palm Beach, FL and coached numerous camps and club teams- Lincoln-Sudbury Youth Lacrosse, Loggerhead Lacrosse, Oxbridge Lacrosse Camp and Colby College Lacrosse Camp, among others.
Coach Brooks spent the summer coaching with 3D New England and was also Camp Director at Stratton Mountain Lacrosse Camp. As a player, he started four years at Colby College where he captained the team his senior year. During his time there he earned multiple awards including NESCAC Rookie of the Year, All NESCAC and All New England. He was elected to the Division III North vs. South All-Star Game. Following his time at Colby College, he signed with the Boston Cannons and earned a spot on their 40 man roster.
