Couture '13 and Perry '15 to Face-off on Opening Night

By: Lumberjack Athletics
When University of Southern Maine hosts Endicott College on Friday night to open their women's hockey seasons, there will be an interesting match-up of former Hebron Lumberjacks.

While Katie Couture '13 (USM) and Teneal Perry '15 (Endicott) never played together at Hebron, they will both bring to the ice their experience from Hebron's Robinson Arena under the tutelage of Head Coach Katie Ftorek for Opening Night.

Couture was a mainstay on the Hebron roster for two seasons while Perry came to Hebron for her senior year. At USM, Couture was the leading goal-scorer as a sophomore with 10 goals and eight assists. During her junior year, she tallied four goals and five assists for third-most on the Huskies' roster.

For Perry, the freshman standout at Endicott recorded seven points during the 2015-16 season with four goals and three assists. She recorded Endicott's first hat-trick in program history with three goals against Salem State in a 6-1 victory.

The puck is set to rop for the opening face-off at 7:00 in USM's Ice Arena on Friday, October 28th.
