By: Lumberjack Athletics
After two successful careers for Hebron's girls' hockey team, Kiana Melvin '16 and Samantha Munroe '16 are about to start their college careers when their new teams take to the ice in the coming week.

Melvin enrolled at Elmira College who starts the season at #3 in D3hockey.com's preseason national rankings. Melvin was a four-year defenseman for the Lumberjacks in Robinson Arena. She and the Soaring Eagles will open their season with back-to-back games against Neumann University on November 4th and 5th.

For Munroe, she and her Castleton College teammates open their season this Saturday, October 29th when they host Oswego State. The Spartans are coming off a 17-win season, and Munroe looks to bring her skills as a forward to the college level after a two-year stint with the Lumberjacks.
