Castriotta '18 Earns Postseason Honors

Sofia Castriotta '18 graduated from Hebron last spring as a three-sport varsity athlete. She entered this fall as a key member of New England College's field hockey team, and the Pilgrims went through the New England Collegiate Conference regular season with a 6-0 record en route to the #1 seed in the conference tournament.

Castriotta earned NECC Player of the Week honors once this season while receiving Rookie of the Week honors four times. She was named Conference Rookie of the Year when the post-season awards were announced last week along with earning All-NECC First Team honors. On the season, she tallied 16 goals and six assists for 38 points. She finished second in the conference for overall goals and goals in conference play (6). Her 38 points were also good for second place in the league standings.

The Pilgrims fell to Husson in their conference semifinal game to end their season on November 3rd.
