From the ELSI Director:

Greetings to all of you who are interested in learning and improving your English!

Congratulations on your bold efforts to also learn about other people and places as you explore Hebron Academy’s English Language Summer Institute.  I know you will gain more than just an expanded English vocabulary. You will make friends and take home experiences that will last a lifetime.

Hebron Academy’s English Language Summer Institute takes a unique approach to learning. We offer opportunities to learn, to practice, and to use English in very real contexts. You will receive instruction from qualified native-English-speaking teachers and produce multimedia products that communicate your experiences with others -- in English!

While you are here, you will see why people from all over the world travel to Maine in the summer and why Maine is called “vacation land.” Hebron Academy is especially fortunate to be located just a short drive from both the ocean and the mountains, as well as Boston.  Our English learning experiences incorporates our natural environment.

Welcome to the U.S., welcome to Maine, and welcome to Hebron Academy’s ELSI. I look forward to getting to know you!

Sincerely,

Katya Kilian
Director of ELSI; Director of ESL
"First of all, we would like to once again thank Hebron Academy for the wonderful time spent in the ELSI. Special thanks to the staff for their care and high professionalism. We will certainly recommend Hebron to all friends.
- Elena Samoylova, parent of former ELSI student
