Computer Policy for Middle School and for Upper School Students

Middle School Computer Policy:

At the beginning of the academic year, each Middle School student will receive a Chromebook on lease from Hebron Academy. The Chromebook has an 11-inch display, a full keyboard, an 8-hour battery life, and is thin and lightweight. Through this technology integration and its educational applications, Hebron faculty will resourcefully and effectively educate students on 21st-century skills and digital citizenship.

Upper School Computer Policy:

Hebron Academy’s Bring-Your-Own-Device (BYOD) program in the Upper School requires that students from grades 9 to 12/PG bring to school every day a personal device such as a laptop or tablet for educational use. This BYOD program provides an effective way to integrate technology in the classroom and gives faculty an additional and powerful tool to use to engage their students, teach 21st-century skills alongside curriculum content, and effectively address their students’ different learning styles.
