Day Students: Arrival Testing

Day Students: Arrival Testing

All day students will be assigned an arrival time on August 29th. For those day students taking the SATs on the 29th, please reach out to Amo Weld at aweld@hebronacademy.org so we can plan to accommodate your test for the afternoon following the completion of the SAT exam.

Upon arrival to campus, day students must remain in their cars until instructed by faculty/staff to proceed to the testing site. After day students undergo testing, they will be instructed to promptly leave campus and return home to await test results and begin 14-day quarantine. Parents transporting day students will be asked to remain in their cars. All parents/guardians are asked to complete the COVID Testing Consent Form by August 14th. Forms can be submitted to CTardif@hebronacademy.org. Arrival testing billing will be processed through the student’s insurance

During quarantine, day students will be required to stay at home and avoid contact with people outside of their immediate family. Similar to boarding students, they will also be asked to maintain 6-ft of social distance from others and to wear a mask at all times when around other people (even family members). Also similar to boarding students, day students will engage in remote learning and orientation activities during this two-week quarantine.

Day students will be notified by nursing staff on August 29th when they are to return to campus to undergo their second round of on-campus PCR testing. During this 2nd round of testing, they will undergo similar arrival/drop-off protocol to that of their first round of testing. In the event that day students test positive during this second round of testing, they will be instructed to remain at home for 10 days following the date of a positive result, or the duration of time indicated by the CDC guidelines. Again, during this time students will have the ability to engage in remote learning.
