Reminder: Establishing a Student Departure Plan

Attention New Parents and Students Returning to In-person Learning:

For those of you who do not have a departure plan in place, Hebron has partnered with International Student Support, run by Lara Butera (www.intlstudentsupport.com), who can serve as your child’s guardian in the case that your child needs to leave campus.

Lara and her team are available to host students at an off-campus home that Hebron has secured for the year in the unforeseen case that a student needs to isolate off-campus and recover from illness. This home is owned by an Alumni of Hebron and former Trustee. It is only 5 miles from campus and situated on a beautiful horse farm.

Lara and her team will coordinate healthcare for your child while they finish their quarantine or isolation and will work in close collaboration with Hebron Health Services. Food will be provided by Hebron’s dining service staff and Hebron will transport students to and from Campus, as necessary. Hebron has taken on the majority of the cost of this service.

We encourage all families to complete the Student Departure Plan as soon as possible. Families who do not have a departure plan in place will use Lara and her team as a guardian.

Questions about Lara and International Student Support can be sent to Dan Marchetti at dmarchetti@hebronacademy.org.

About the Student Departure Plan

In the interest of the health and safety of the broader school community, we expect that there will be times when individual students may be required to leave campus.  As such we are requiring each Hebron family to share their plan for their student’s departure from campus should the student become ill or need to isolate for a period of time. Please complete the Student Departure Plan as soon as possible. Plans can be submitted to Cheryl Tardif at CTardif@hebronacademy.org.
