Ski and Snowboard Update

Hebron parents and students spoke… and we listened! We are changing our winter ski mountain from Pleasant Mountain to Sunday River! This is due, in large part, to the thoughtful, solution-based letter written by a group of students. Not only did the students demonstrate agency, but they brought to the table compelling points to make the shift to ski and snowboard at Sunday River this winter, and we are excited to support our students in this capacity. 

Scheduling Details:

• We will bring our students to Sunday River on Wednesdays and Fridays in January and February

  • On Wednesdays in January and February students will be back on campus around 5:00pm.

  • Sunday River provides “Twilight Skiing” on Fridays in January and February with ski lifts running until the early evening. Because of the extended hours of operation, Hebron students will leave campus at 2:00pm and return to school around 7:00pm.

December Skiing and Snowboarding:

• We will not be bringing our students to Sunday River during the week in December.

• Assuming Sunday River has enough snow and is open, we will, however, bring students to the mountain on the weekends in December.

Passes and Payment: 

Previously, we as the school were going to purchase a pass for your child and charge the student account. Now, you will purchase the Sunday River pass for your child. We will still facilitate the purchase of Lost Valley passes and rentals for your student where applicable, and deduct from your student account. Again, the amount deducted will EXCLUDE the Sunday River pass, which you are responsible for paying on behalf of your child. 
 

Instructions for purchasing a Sunday River Pass:

If your child is under the age of 18, you as the parent/guardian will need to purchase the ski pass on behalf of your child, and sign a Sunday River liability release form. 

1. Use this link here to access the discounted “Sunday River Community Pass”.

2. If you do not have a Sunday River login, please create one.

3. Add the discounted community pass to your shopping cart.

4. Add your child as a “group member” and follow the prompts.

5. Do not include any spaces in the postal code. 

6. If the address automatically populates, make sure you re-enter the information.

7. Make sure the address is the billing address of the card being used.

8. If the purchase does not go through after one try, contact Sunday River support team to assist with the purchase. 1-844.849.1887.

9. Sunday River support team can't help until the waiver is signed online. 

10. Their team also has an online chat available from 10am-4pm 7 days a week.

The school will bring students to the ticket booths at Sunday River in the coming weeks to pick up passes. 

Updated Fee that will be deducted from Student Account:

Since you as the parent guardian will purchase the Sunday River pass on behalf of your child the amount deducted from your student account will change. Please see below details for updated fees…

Recreational Skiing:

• If your child HAS their own equipment and a Lost Valley Season pass the fee to be deducted from the student account is $200.00.

• If your child HAS their own equipment and needs to purchase a Lost Valley Thursday only pass through the school the fee to be deducted from the student account is $400.00.

• If your child NEEDS TO RENT ski or snowboard equipment through the school and has their own Lost Valley season pass the fee to be deducted from the student account is $425.00.

• If your child NEEDS TO RENT ski or snowboard equipment through the school AND needs to purchase a Lost Valley Thursday only ticket through the school the fee to be deducted from the student account is $625.00

Alpine Ski Racing:

• If your child HAS their own equipment the fee to be deducted from the student account is $275.00.

• If your child NEEDS TO RENT equipment through the school the fee to be deducted from the student account is $475.00.
