Outdoor Center Update: It Keeps Getting Better!

Outdoor Center Update: It Keeps Getting Better!

Momentum keeps building for the Class of 1970 Outdoor Center at Marshall Pond.

Just as the roof was being installed on the cabin that will be known as Barrows Cottage, Scott Abbotts P'23 and P '27, the owner of Goodwin’s Well and Water, reached out to offer to donate the drilling of a well and accompanying pump mechanism to supply fresh water to students and others using the Outdoor Center.

A quick connection with Mark Jorgensen ‘74, owner of Jorgensen Landscaping, resulted in a plan to create a landscape design for the site, to help best utilize the space for camping and recreational activities.

Mike Ariel ’76, owner of What’s Up Docks, has developed a schematic for the docks in the waterfront center, which will be in place in the spring when the ice is out and students are eager to try out the kayaks and canoes.

We are so grateful to the Class of 1970 and the Hebron community for leaning in to create this amazing new outdoor recreational area for the students.

We welcome all ideas!
