Linn Haefele ‘22 is an ASSIST student from Frankfurt, Germany. ASSIST is a student exchange program that matches academically talented, multilingual international students with American independent secondary schools. Linn is taking full advantage of her time at Hebron Academy and loves being here.
Linn has played field hockey for ten years and described her fall after school time as “amazing.” Linn won the MVP award, but as she recalled, “The best times were being on the bus talking and eating pizza!” It was fun to learn that back home in Frankfurt, she plays in a league with Dora Flatten ‘18. I met with Linn right before she went to Sunday River to go skiing. She is going to be on the competitive ski team, but until that time starts she is so happy to be skiing at such a great mountain with her friends. In the spring, she is going to give lacrosse a try as she loves team sports.
Linn is an exceptional student. She earned a 4.0 this fall and was awarded highest honors for the term. She truly enjoys the study of International Relations and Political Science and is looking forward to studying Government in college. She is awaiting word from Brown University, so let’s keep our fingers crossed for her.
Great memories thus far for Linn are all the weekend trips and the fun times on campus. She especially enjoyed the haunted walk and she will always remember all the girls in Halford Dorm getting ready for the Fall Ball, “It was a circus!”
