Student Profile: Mitch Nazareth '23

Mitch Nazareth is from Boston, Massachusetts, and is in his third year at Hebron Academy, arriving in the winter of 2020. It was a big change for him to come to Hebron, but he feels that Hebron helped him tremendously by “creating an open and friendly environment to integrate into.” In his junior year, his favorite class was Honors American Literature with Ms. Waterman because of the structure of her class and creative activities. He really enjoyed the reading selection and appreciated the occasional movie nights! One of his favorite spots on campus is the Kaneb Center where he has been part of the Hydrogen RC Car production since its inception last year. As a senior, he appreciates the fact that he has such strong relationships with the faculty and his peers that serve as his social network and also, when needed, his support group. Mitch has a strong interest in computer science, technology, and engineering and is loving the Engineering Capstone class this fall. He is currently in the college application process. Right now his future is up in the air, but he knows that he wants to study computer science next year. When asked about the current year, Mitch shared: “Mr. Phillips has been a major positive change for me and many other students this year. The security and open mindedness that he brings to Hebron is a large reason for my senior experience at Hebron Academy being so enjoyable.”
