Gifts to this designation of the annual fund are flexible, unrestricted contributions to support the strategic response of the school to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Funds have been and will be deployed to support financial aid for students whose families are experiencing job loss or hardship; to pay for medical supplies and additional medical personnel; to cover the cost of retrofitting campus spaces to ensure health and safety and to hire additional housekeeping staff; to establish resources to be used for faculty remuneration; to allow the school to continue to invest in technology; to respond to special COVID-19 needs at the discretion of the Board of Trustees.
We are living history in the making and are committed to continuing to build a future for our students and the Academy. Over the past few months, our faculty and staff have risen to the challenge of continuing to offer the education our students expect and deserve while working tirelessly to ensure the health and safety of our community. In this year of a pandemic, the school has invested in health, and safely opened our doors to our students. We were ready, prepared, and eager to start the year. Contributions from alumni and friends allow us to continue to innovate and respond to changing demands in this shifting environment. Flexible and current gifts to the Annual Fund can be used immediately to provide our students the financial, logistical, and technical enhancements that are essential to maintaining academic continuity and ensuring student success. Contributions to the Annual Fund are more critical than ever and will directly mitigate the impact of COVID-19 modifications on the operating budget.
