Hebron Academy is not just a school -- it’s a family, where students from all around the world are friends. At Hebron, education is a priority. Teachers and faculty are always available to help you and dedicate their time to you. Finally, Hebron is the greatest place to be if you want to be happy, play your chosen sport, and learn - all at the same place. Hebron offers so much opportunity to develop yourself as a student and an athlete.

People should definitely choose Hebron Academy because of how complete it is as a school. The community at Hebron Academy is welcoming and helpful, especially towards new students to ensure that they have no complaints about their experience at Hebron.

If you come to Hebron I would definitely recommend trying new things. For example, field hockey is not common in Mexico, so I tried it! You have nothing to lose. I now have friends and connections  all around the world.

Classes at Hebron are above and beyond any others that I experienced in my former schools. The small class size and more challenging curriculum has allowed me to form deeper personal connections with my teachers and challenge myself more than I ever would have elsewhere.

Emily McCarthy '20

Quincy, Massachusetts

I love life at Hebron because of the small community - it allows you to get to know everyone but is also diverse and going to school where different cultural backgrounds are represented has given me a different perspective.

From going on hikes at 6:00 AM before school and jumping in a freezing cold pond, to presenting an hour-long presentation about Italian Immigration in my US history class, I can truly say that choosing Hebron Academy was the best choice I have ever made.

The middle school faculty make it their top priority to help each child find their own voice, and guide them to strengthen it. Throughout the year, we witnessed our daughter discover her voice and grow in confidence. At the end of the year all the 8th graders gave a speech in front of the entire graduation audience. It truly was amazing to see how articulate they were.

As parents, we had many choices to pick from- most all schools have the science buildings, dorm, library....People are what makes the difference. Our oldest boy came back from Hebron grown as a student, a brother, but most of all as a person. Hebron opened his mind about knowing people from all over the world; being able to live with them is a priceless gift. So, we made the choice to send our youngest boy, too- who has achieved similar goals and life experiences. We made a 100% right decision sending our two boys to our family in Hebron, because that is what we feel like: family.

We are so happy to have found Hebron for both our son and daughter. It is not only a kind community but it is our kids’ second family. The teachers and staff really care about the students and their success. This school offers so much: great teaching, so many different cultures, so many different opportunities.

Hebron Academy goes beyond just a close community and a wonderful support system for students. Hebron introduced my kids to rigorous academic courses to stretch their learning, helped to develop confidence to overcome challenges, and encouraged them to have high aspirations. Hebron has prepared my children to be successful in college and beyond, for that, I am thankful.

I am so grateful that our children grew up loving school! They participated fully in all aspects of Hebron life; they took advantage of every opportunity to DO something. Hebron Academy’s focus on the importance of community has led all three of our children to follow careers in public service; I am so proud that they are all out in the world, doing good work, thanks to the wonderful education and experiences they were afforded at Hebron Academy.Author Name

Choosing Hebron Academy was a process supported by an educational counselor who helped us seek a school that matched our family’s values and had the academic and athletic opportunities we were seeking. Then, we found the campus to be sublime with beautiful buildings and large open spaces. The Admissions process was supportive and included a chance to connect with the coaches.  We are proud of our son’s strong efforts and he is very happy.

My time at Hebron Academy was a transformative experience. Within an incredibly close-knit community, I got to learn from outstanding faculty devoted to the growth of each student within seminar-style classrooms, and have a blast participating in a wide range of extracurricular activities. With all the memories, experiences and adventures you will gather, your time at Hebron will not only be unforgettable but also prepare you and open the doors to whatever you want to do after your time as a Lumberjack.

Hebron Academy was the axis of my academic and physical development; however, it was also the root of lifelong friendships and unforgettable experiences. Classmates of mine coming from China to Maine remain some of my closest friends, and Hebron’s diversity was a critical aspect of my development through high school. What separates Hebron from other places in the world, is it’s natural ability to bring people closer together, as classmates, as teammates, as leaders, and as friends.

Hebron creates endless opportunities for students and helped me reach places that I could have never imagined. You will immediately feel welcomed by the community the moment you step onto campus. Whether it is in the classroom, the dorm, or on the sports field, Hebron is always challenging their students to be the best version of themselves.

My favorite day is always the one that starts with chorus and ends with a cappella rehearsal. Playing guitar for school meeting, auditioning for Districts, or singing with the Hebeegeebees, any creativity with music makes me happy.

Vic de Vasconcellos Marques '16

I could easily write you thousands of lengthy emails on the subject of how Hebron changed my life. Art classes, school traditions, the caring faculty, the lifelong friendships. My time at Hebron made me think I could do anything I wanted, and it was because of Hebron Academy that I got in to the World's top film school, the University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts.
